The rose is one of the most beautiful flowers in the garden and can symbolize beauty, grace, purity and more. Roses are one of the most popular shrubs and bushes planted in gardens and are among the most common flowers sold by flower shops and florists. Roses are also importance from an economical standpoint for their use in perfumes and in general as a harvested plant for the floral industry.
Some of the most beautiful flowers and valuable fruits belong to the roses flowers family including apple, pear, berries, apricot, and cherry. Plants of the rose family also provide us with helpful products like oil of bitter almonds and fine woods used in making cabinets and furniture.
Historically, the word "rose" originates from the Latin "Rosa" but can also be traced back to early Greek, Italian, Aramaic, Assyrian and Iranian civilizations. The rose culture grew in Europe in the early nineteenth century with the introduction of perpetual blooming roses, brought in from the Far East.
